Tara Snyder is a Chicago native who began her dance training at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts in Chicago, performing with the Civic Ballet of Chicago, the school’s pre-professional company, throughout high school. Her performance experience with the company includes appearing in the company’s annual Nutcracker, as well as performing in works by Larry Long, Harrison McEldowney, and Paul Abrahamson, among others. She continued to study dance at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography. During her time at Hope she performed with H2 Dance Company, appearing in original works by Matthew Farmer, Amanda Smith, Crystal Frazier, and Sharon Wong. While at Hope, Tara also served as president of the Ballet Club, worked with the college's events and technical Staff, and was a member of StrikeTime Dance Company, which is the dance department’s educational performance and outreach company that performs in schools across the Midwest. This is Tara’s third season with Thodos Dance Chicago.
