Tyler Ring is a native of Muncie, Indiana where he began dancing at the age of seven. He recently earned his BFA in Dance from Ball State University, graduating with summa cum laude honors. Tyler also studied at other dance institutions including San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Visceral Dance Chicago. He has had the privilege to perform works by Sidra Bell, Ohad Naharin, Alex Ketley, and Alejandro Cerrudo. His choreography was chosen to be performed at the 2016 American College Dance Association Central Conference Gala, where it was then selected as the first alternate for the American College Dance Association National Conference at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Tyler is thrilled to be entering his first season as a Performance Trainee with Thodos Dance Chicago.
