24th Season Launches

Season 24 has begun! An exciting and busy touring/performance season is ahead. Starting in Holland, MI, TDC will travel throughout the USA (15 venues) thrilling patrons with critically acclaimed contemporary repertoire and popular story ballet "A Light in the Dark". We look forward to touching the lives of many through our exhilarating performances and community outreach during our 2015-2016 season.

2016 kicks off with the WORLD PREMIERE of "Sono's Journey", a new dance story created/choreographed by Artistic Director Melissa Thodos, celebrating the life and career of Japanese-American dance legend Sono Osato. "Sono's Journey" will open TDC's "Made in Chicago" performance at the Auditorium Theatre on Saturday, January 9. Learn the stirring details about "Sono's Journey" HERE. The second act will feature "Near Light" (Melissa Thodos, Choreographer), "Memoirs" (Garfield Lemonius, Choreographer) and "All You Need Is" (Taylor Mitchell, Choreographer).

TDC is thrilled to present CHICAGO REVEALED at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie on Saturday, February 20 and the Harris Theater for Music and Dance on Saturday, March 5. CHICAGO REVEALED celebrates the American voice in contemporary dance and features an evening of inspiring new works created by acclaimed Chicago artists and motivated by the rich landscape of the city of Chicago.
