FINAL COMPANY PERFORMANCE With the announcement of a new chapter for Thodos Dance Chicago after the conclusion of this season, Full Circle will not only officially celebrate TDC's 25th Anniversary Season but will also be the final performance of TDC in its current state. Come FULL CIRCLE as the company commemorates 25 years of artistry and innovation in its closing performance as an ensemble-based company on the Auditorium Theatre's landmark stage! Read more about TDC's new chapter here. Thodos Dance Chicago presents an exhilarating evening of dance to celebrate its Silver Anniversary including a one-time-only performance of Founder and Artistic Director Melissa Thodos’ The Wheel Trilogy, which incorporates Reaching There (1986), Getting There (2011), and There, the final piece in the trilogy that will have its world premiere on this historic evening. The program also features the Chicago premiere of Bella Lewitzky’s Nos Duraturi, a compelling and dramatic commentary on mankind’s ability to endure by the legendary West Coast choreographer. A thrilling new, full-company piece, Nos Duraturi is the fourth revival of a seminal work from the past to emerge as part of TDC’s American Dance Legacy Project, which is dedicated to keeping the creative voice of renowned American dance artists whose work is no long visible to the public, alive and moving on stage. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. The performance opens with three shorter works: Brian Enos’ Acid Reign (created specifically for TDC’s anniversary season), company member Briana Robinson’s Uncovering, and Thodos’ Changing Strangers. This performance is part of the Auditorium Theatre's "Made in Chicago" Dance Series. Click here to learn more about TDC's American Dance Legacy Project.
